This guide will help you enroll your phone or tablet in Duo Mobile, enabling you to receive secure push notifications and approve login requests with a single tap (Approve). The self‑enrollment process is simple and should take only a few minutes.
Step 1: Log in to your MCCCD account
A. Log in to any MCCCD Duo-protected application on your computer.
B. At the Duo prompt, click “Other options.”
Step 2: Locate the “Manage devices”
A. At the bottom of the “Other options to log in” window, select “Manage devices.”
Step 3: Adding Duo Mobile as a New Authentication Method
A. The device management portal will display all of your currently registered devices.
B. Select “Add a device” to enroll Duo Mobile. Duo Push allows you to review and approve login requests directly from your phone or tablet by tapping Approve to log in to applications.
Step 4: Authentication request
To ensure your identity is verified, Duo will require you to authenticate by using your current method (SMS or phone call). Select your current authentication method when logging in to your account.
Step 5: Select the authentication method
A. After approving the authentication request, select Duo Mobile to proceed with the enrollment.
Step 6. Enter your mobile number
A. Enter your mobile number in the required field and click Continue.
B. If you are enrolling in a tablet, select “I have a tablet” instead of entering a mobile phone number.
Step 7: Download the Duo Mobile App
Install the Duo Mobile app on your device:
● App Store (for Apple devices)
● Google Play Store (for Android devices)
After installation is complete, return to your computer and click “Next.”
Step 8: Activate Duo Mobile
A. On your phone or tablet, open the Duo Mobile app.
B. Tap Add → Scan QR Code. Use your device’s camera to scan the QR code displayed on your computer.
Camera Access: Duo Mobile requires permission to use your camera for scanning the QR code. This allows your device to be securely linked to your Duo account.
Enrollment Complete
You can now authenticate by using:
● Duo Push
● Duo Mobile Passcode
