Overview
Ever wish you had a personal assistant to hand you your schedule the moment you started your day? With the Daily Agenda feature in Google Calendar, you can receive an automated email every morning at 5:00 AM containing a clear list of your appointments, meetings, and events for the day.
This is a perfect tool for those who want to prepare for their day without even opening their calendar app.
📧 How to Enable Your Daily Agenda
-
Open Google Calendar on your computer.
-
Click the Settings (gear icon) in the top right corner and select Settings.
-
On the left-hand sidebar, find the Settings for my calendars section. Click on the specific calendar you want an agenda for (usually your name).
-
Scroll down to the Other notifications section.
-
Find the Daily agenda option.
-
Click the drop down menu next to it and change it from "None" to Email.
💡 Why You Should Use It
-
Offline Accessibility: Once the email arrives, you can view your schedule even if you lose internet access or are in a low-signal area.
-
Morning Readiness: Review your meetings from your phone while you're having your morning coffee, ensuring you aren’t surprised by an early 8:00 AM call.
-
Direct Links: If your events include a Google Meet link or a specific location, those links are often clickable directly from the email, allowing you to join meetings faster.
🛠️ Troubleshooting & Tips
-
Check Your Spam: If you enable this but don't see the email, check your "Promotions" tab or Spam folder in Gmail and mark it as "Not Spam."
-
Time Zone Matters: The email is sent based on the time zone of your calendar. If your schedule looks "off," double-check your Time Zone settings in the General tab.
-
Multiple Calendars: If you manage multiple calendars (like a personal one and a department one), you will need to enable this setting for each individual calendar to receive separate agenda emails.
Summary: The Daily Agenda email is a simple, automated way to receive your full daily schedule in your inbox every morning, helping you stay organized and prepared without lifting a finger.
