Verkada Pass
The new access control system at the New District Office lets you activate doors and speedgates; using your compatible iPhone or Android phone. This guide details how to install and configure the Verkada Pass app.
Before You Begin
You will need:
- Your mobile device (iPhone or Android)
- The Verkada Pass invitation email
Steps
Step 1
From your iPhone or Android phone, open the email you received with the subject: "Invitation to Verkada Pass app" from no-reply@command.verkada.com. Note: If you have Labels configured in Gmail, the message might bypass your Primary inbox and be categorized elsewhere, such as Promotions.
Step 2
If you have an iPhone, click on the "Verkada Pass for iOS" button. If you have an Android phone, click on the "Verkada Pass for Andriod" button. This will take you to your phone's app store so you can download the free Verkada Pass app.
Step 3
During the installation process, you'll be prompted to enter your email address. Enter the email address where the Invitation to the Verkada Pass app was sent and click the "Continue" button.
Step 4
Click the "Email me the link" button.
Step 5
From your iPhone or Android phone, open the email with the subject: "Verkada Pass login link: mcccd" from no-reply@command.verkada.com. Click the "Log in" button.
Step 6
Once successfully authenticated, the app installation will guide you through the permissions you should enable for the app to properly function.
Once you enable the permissions, your phone can be used to use speedgates and unlock doors.
