Use Passphrases for Stronger Passwords

Use passphrases to create stronger passwords!

Most devices save passwords for you and create them for you as well. That is handy, but what if the service or device is not available? What if the password is not as secure as you may think? You may want to try creating a password that looks more like a sentence. This type of password is called a passphrase. You can use a lyric from a song. a quote from your favorite tv show or entertainer. random words put together that make a rhyme, or anything that you can easily remember that is over 20 characters long!

Passphrases will not only help with the speed of logging for services on different devices, passphrases also help you keep accounts safer. Longer passphrases are more secure than your typical passwords due to how passphrases force password cracking and guessing attacks to work through so many possible combinations that it would take almost a lifetime to get the right combination.

So, next time you are asked to create a password you may want to try creating a longer passphrase.
