Large Meeting Space Information

Estrella Conference Center (ECC)

The ECC is the premier meeting space for large group presentations and can be configured as a single large meeting space or divided in half as 2 separate spaces. Each side has the ability to have a presentation podium with built-in technology and projection screens.

Technology

  • 2 Presentation Podiums w/ Gooseneck Microphones
  • 4 Cameras
  • 8 Handheld & 8 Lavalier wireless microphones
  • Floor/Table microphone stands

  • Wall & Ceiling mounted speakers
  • WebEx/Google Meet/Zoom Compatible
  • YouTube Live Streaming Compatible
  • Wireless network
  • USB-C, HDMI, and VGA connectivity for laptops
  • Blu-ray players
  • Advanced AV capabilities in collaboration with IT

Advantages

The ECC has advanced audio visual capabilities located in the control room towards the rear of the space. In order to make the space easier to use without IT assistance, the default setup for the room can use the podium computers with the house microphones, cameras, and speakers for web conferencing.
The space is large and can accommodate large groups for presentations.

Disadvantages

Due to the complexity of the technology available, use cases that have requirements outside of the default setup will require IT staff assistance.
Due to the size of the space and the number of people generally present, hybrid meetings can be difficult when there is a lot of collaboration needed from both attendees online and in person. There are no ceiling mounted microphones available, so handheld microphones must be used so that remote attendees can hear what is being said in the space.
