Logging on to Jabber Softphone from a Windows Computer

Cisco Jabber is the softphone application used by Maricopa Community Colleges to place and receive calls directly from your computer. Jabber is pre-installed on all GatewayCC - issued computers.

Launch Jabber

From the Start Menu, type 'Jabber' in the search bar and click Open.

A Cisco Jabber Sign In window appears. Click Sign In.

A Cisco Unified Collaboration window appears. For the Username, enter your MEID, then enter your password in the Password field, then click Login.

One-Time Code (if encountered)

Sometimes, users will see a Cisco Jabber pop-up window indicating that a new browser tab has opened to sign in. 

On the Sign in with Google window, click your meid@domail.maricopa.edu account

 

 

 

 

The window will display an access request for your Google Account. Click Continue.

A user will get a four-digit, one-time code.

In the Cisco Jabber pop-up window, type in the four-digit code and click Verify.

You can begin using the Jabber softphone to send and receive calls.

Certificate Prompt (if encountered)

Sometimes, users will see a prompt to Verify Certificate. Click Accept

Dial Out: For local calls, dial "9 + Number" / For long-distance calls, dial "91 + Number".
