In areas with low cell phone service, turning on Wi-Fi calling can allow you to receive phone calls and text messages while connected to the campus wireless rather than relying on a cellular signal from your phone carrier.
Instructions
Note: Not all devices or carriers support Wi-Fi calling, so verify with your carrier if it is available.
iOS:
- Go to Settings > Cellular (Phone) > Wi-Fi Calling.
- Toggle "Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone" to ON.
- Confirm any prompts that appear.
Android:
Note: Android phones can be different depending on the manufacturer. Please refer to your manufacturer's documentation if these instructions do not align to your phone's interface.
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network.
- Select Advanced and then Wi-Fi Calling.
- Toggle the "Wi-Fi Calling" option to ON.
