As of May 18, DUO is no longer supporting Call or Text as a verification method. You can add the DUO Mobile app to your smart phone device as an alternative method to authenticate your log in credentials. Follow the instructions below to add the Duo Mobile app to your phone. These instructions are intended for users who currently only use the Call and Text feature and should be valid to use before the 18th of May.
Minimum/ Recommended Mobile Device Versions:
iOS:
- (Minimum) iPhone iOS 16
- (Recommended) iPhone iOS 18 and above
Android:
- (Minimum) Android 11
- (Recommended) Android 13 and above
How To Add Duo Mobile To Your Smart Phone Device
- Log into any employee/student service to get to the DUO approval screen
- Select “Other Options”

- Select “Manage Devices”

- Authenticate your log in via Call or Text
- Once authenticated, select “Add a Device”

Prompts will come up and choose Duo Mobile with the green icon
- Follow the prompts until you see a QR code on the computer screen
- Example:

Open your Duo Mobile app on the phone and select "Add account with QR Code"

DUO should ask to open your camera to take a picture of the QR code

Go through the prompts on the phone until you get to a spot that shows Pass code with black dots. That indicates you are finished setting up the app on the phone. Go back to the computer at that point.

On the top right corner should say “Back to Login” and from there you can go ahead and approve your log-ins with the Duo Push option and within the app. The app should provide a deny or approve option to allow your log in.
