If you are experiencing trouble with your microphone, the following tips can help you troubleshoot and resolve the issues.
Instructions

Make sure that your microphone or headset is connected correctly to your computer.

Many headsets have a physical Mute button, make sure it isn't active.

Make sure that your microphone is the default recording device.

Go to Start Menu > Settings > System > Sound.

In Input (Choose your input device) make sure the microphone you want to use is selected.

To test your microphone, speak into it and check the Test your microphone blue bar to see if it is working.

Google Meet Microphone Issues
In many cases, you have to allow Google meet to access your microphone, and here is how you do that.

Click on the settings icon right next to the URL to view all kinds of permission the currently website has.

Make sure your Microphone and camera are active.
