Password Reset Guide
Ø The new process of
changing your Maricopa password at the IDME.Maricopa.edu site.
At this site, please click on the green
"Reset password now" link. Example,

Ø The next will look
similar to this:
For the
"Email or Username" field, please enter your exact MEID@maricopa.edu,
and for the other field enter the character you see in the image (Not case
sensitive). 
Ø Click Next. Your
next screen should look similar to the picture below

Ø You should have a
personal or work email listed as your alternate email address. Click the Email
button and check your inbox for the passcode from Maricopa. After entering the
passcode in the field provided, you should be able to reset your password.
New Maricopa Password Requirements
Be at least 12 characters long with a
maximum length of 256.
Must contain character types from 3 of
the 4 categories:
Uppercase (A, B, C, …)
Lowercase (a, b, c, …)
Numerals (0 through 9)
Special characters, such as ~ ` ! @ #
$ % ^ & * - + = \ | { } ( )
Must not contain the user's account
name/MEID/Student ID, sequential (e.g.
123, abc), or more than two
consecutive repeating characters.
The previous 10 passwords cannot be
reused.
Important:
If
you are unable to reactivate due to no SSN on file, or you are unable to
complete the IDME process due to an outdated email or phone number then you
will need
to
connect with a Maricopa Community College district office employee to conduct
an on-camera identity verification.

Verification Process
Ø Navigate to
idme.maricopa.edu
*Locate the chat
icon on the bottom right corner of the webpage and “click” on it to open.

Enter the
responses as follows.
Ø Type “yes” to
speak to a person.

Ø When Prompted
Choose “Password Reset”

Ø When prompted
choose “Student”

Ø When asked if you
have attempted to do a self-service reset password yourself select “yes”

Ø You will then be
given a link by the bot, ignore the link and wait for the system to prompt with
accepted ID information.
*Ignore this link

Ø The prompt below
will explain what the district office staff member will need for the
identification verification process.

Ø The system will
then connect you to a district office staff member who will then conduct a
video identify verification process and will update your email/ phone number in
the system to allow you to change your password.

After you successfully reset
your Maricopa password, our next step is to link your account with the Duo
Mobile app
(Two Factor Authentication that
Maricopa implemented)
Sign-in to
accounts.maricopa.edu with YourMEID@maricopa.edu and your updated password.
Ø Next, select
"Add a new device" as shown below

Follow the steps on authenticating your device:
Ø Select Mobile Phone

Ø Make sure they do enter their
correct Cell Phone number

Ø
Choose your
phone type

Ø Press I have Duo
Mobile Installed

Ø Eventually it will
generate a QR code where you can scan it to link your Maricopa account to the
Duo-Mobile on your phone device.
Example:

Ø launch your Duo
Mobile app on your cell phone and click the + sign. This will turn on your
camera, and just scan the QR code. you will get a confirmation checkmark

Ø Choose if you want
a Duo Push or Call Me. Then SAVE your setting.

Ø Duo Push: a
notification to your phone. Tap the notification and click on the
Approved button
Ø Call Me: It
will call your cell phone. After answering the call, open your keypad and press
any key.
Ø You still have to
login to your Gmail account with your MEID@maricopa.edu/password.
Just
an additional Duo Push/Call Me notification to your phone where you have to
Accept or Deny.
We will get a duo
push when logging into Gmail, maricopa.sharepoint.com, SIS, HCM..etc.
