Limitations and compatibility
- When launching a site from the LastPass for Desktop app, you must be logged in to the LastPass browser extension in your browser to use autofill.
- Offline mode is not yet supported using the LastPass for Desktop app (new experience).
- Passkey items can be edited or deleted using the LastPass for Desktop app (new experience). Passkeys can be created and used to log in to websites only using the LastPass browser extension or the LastPass Password Manager app on mobile.
- Log in and access your vault, and click on the red plus sign located at the bottom right corner, then select Password

- Enter the URL of the site, and the information you want to store
Note the URL, username, and password is needed for autologin
- Do any of the following:
- Select a folder to store your password in (optional).
- Create a TOTP so the site (which is enabled with Two-Factor Authentication) can be shared with others (optional).
- Enter notes about the password item (optional).
- Select Advanced Settings, then enable any of the following settings:
- Require Master Password Re-prompt
- Autologin
- Disable Autofill
- Optional: At the bottom of the screen, you can click on the “Star” to set your password item as a Favorite.

- Select Save when finished.
