The Security Dashboard in your LastPass vault shows your overall security score, any dark web alerts tied to your accounts, and all email addresses that are currently being monitored or that you’ve chosen to stop monitoring.
Security Score:
Your security score updates automatically based on the strength of the passwords stored in your vault. Weak, reused, or missing passwords lower the score, and LastPass recommends updating those passwords to maintain good security posture. As you add more passwords, the score adjusts to show how well your vault aligns with security best practices.
Dark Web Monitoring:
Dark web monitoring checks all email addresses stored in your vault and alerts you—both by email and in your Security Dashboard—if any of them appear in a database of breached credentials. If an address is found in a breach, LastPass guides you through updating the password for the affected site. You can also choose which email addresses you want to exclude from monitoring. To begin using the feature, select Start monitoring in the dark web monitoring section.
- Whiles logged to you LastPass account or vault, click on Security dashboard from the left menu to display your aggregate score

- Your Security score will indicate if there are issues that needs attention
- If you see a red alert, select it to view the issues that must be addressed.
