Eduroam Setup
The eduroam (education roaming) service is a secure, worldwide wireless network that allows students, faculty, and staff from participating institutions (including MCCCD campuses) to access the Internet when visiting other participating institutions.

Option 1: Setup Eduroam Automatically
When you are at an MCCCD campus or other participating location with eduroam, you will need to use the eduroam wireless network if you intend to use the service to get online.
Begin the Eduroam installation process on your device
The eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT) configures eduroam settings on your device automatically.
- Go to the eduroam CAT download site on your device.
- Click on the button that shows your version of macOS.
- Then click Continue.
- After the file is downloaded, click Open at the bottom of the screen.
- When asked “Are you sure you want to install ‘eduroam’?”, click Continue.
- When prompted to verify the certificate, click Continue.
- When prompted with “Are you sure you want to install a profile?”, click Continue.
- Enter your username in this format: MEID@maricopa.edu.
- Enter your MEID password in the password prompt.
- Click Install.
- When prompted “Are you sure you want to install profile ‘Eduroam’?”, click Install.
- When prompted that Profiles/MDM want to make changes, enter your admin credentials for your device and click OK.
Connect to Eduroam
When you are at an MCCCD campus or other participating location with eduroam, search for and select the “eduroam” wireless network.
Option 2: Setup Eduroam Manually
Connect to Eduroam
When you are at an MCCCD campus or other participating location with eduroam, search for and select the “eduroam” wireless network.
Use your MEID to log in to Eduroam
When prompted, enter your maricopa.edu email address in this format: MEID@maricopa.edu.
For the password, enter your MEID password.
Complete this final step to connect
When prompted to verify the network certificate, click Continue to accept the certificate and connect to eduroam.

Option 1: Setup Eduroam Automatically
When you are at an MCCCD campus or other participating location with eduroam, you will need to use the eduroam wireless network if you intend to use the service to get online.
Begin the Eduroam installation process on your device
The eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT) configures eduroam settings on your device automatically.
- Go to the eduroam CAT download site on your device.
- Click Download your eduroam installer for Windows devices to get started.
- Open and run the installer. (Hint: click the link if the download doesn’t start automatically.)
Create the Eduroam CAT profile on your device
Follow the instructions when the Welcome to the eduroam installer appears.
- Click Next to get started.
- Click OK to continue with the installation.
- Click Accept to accept the terms of use.
- Click Next to continue.
Enter your Maricopa account details and complete the installation
In the User Credentials window, follow these steps:
- Enter your MEID (in the format MEID@maricopa.edu) in the Username field.
- Enter your MEID password in the Enter password field.
- Re-enter your MEID password in the Repeat password field.
- Click Install to continue.
- If the Security Warning window appears, click Yes to install the certificate.
- Click Finish to complete the installation.
Connect to Eduroam
When you are at an MCCCD campus or other participating location with eduroam, search for and select the “eduroam” wireless network, then click Connect.
Option 2: Setup Eduroam Manually
Set up a new wireless connection in Windows
When you are at an MCCCD campus or other participating location with eduroam, you must add and configure the eduroam network.
- Open Control Panel.
- Select Network and Internet.
- Select Network and Sharing Center.
- Select Set up a new connection or network.
Set up the Eduroam network on your computer
Complete the following steps in the “Set up a new connection or network” window:
- Select Manually connect to a wireless network and click Next.
- Enter this Network Name: eduroam
- Select Security type: WPA2-Enterprise
- Click Next.
Configure Eduroam security settings
Complete the following steps in the “Manually connect to a wireless network” windows:
- Select Change connection settings.
- Select the Security tab.
- Uncheck “Remember my credentials for this connection each time I’m logged in.”
- Select Settings.
- Uncheck “Verify the server’s identity by validating the certificate.”
- In the Select Authentication Method section, select Configure.
- Uncheck “Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain, if any).”
Important: If you do not uncheck this box, you will not be able to connect to eduroam.
- Click OK.
- Click OK again.
- Click OK again.
- Click Close.
Connect to Eduroam
Search for and select the “eduroam” wireless network, then click Connect.
Use your MEID to log in to eduroam
Enter your maricopa.edu email address in this format: MEID@maricopa.edu.
For the password, enter your MEID password, then press OK to connect.
