Connecting to GauchoConnect

How to log in to GauchoConnect to make a remote connection to a workstation

  1. Open a web browser and navigate to https://gccaz.sassafrascloud.com

  2. At the Sign In page, click Sign In with MEID.

  1. Sign in using your  MEID@maricopa.edu and click Next

  1. Enter your MEID password

  1. Confirm the Duo authentication if prompted.

  1.  If prompted, select No, other people use this device.

  1. Once the map loads, click on the circle that identifies available computers

  1. Click on the location of the computers. This will take you to a floor plan showing available computers

  • Note: The status of a computer is identified by the following

  1. Select an available computer and click on Connect

  1. On the next screen, enter your MEID password and click Connect

  1. The Preparing Windows screen will appear and can take as long as 90 seconds to complete

  1. Once Preparing Windows is complete, you are connected to a computer that is on campus.

  • Note: This remote connection is through a web browser; keep that in mind when opening and closing browsers and browser tabs

  • Note: File transfer through the browser session is not available.  To transfer files to the remote computer, please use Google Drive or another secure cloud-based storage service.

 

Logging out of the remote session

  1. To log out of the session, click the Windows icon in the remote session.  Be careful not to click the Windows icon of your own computer.

  1. Click on your name

  1. Click Sign out

  1. At this point, you can return to the map or close your browser

  • Note: Not logging out of the remote session and only closing your browser will result in the computer you selected being marked as In Use and unavailable for anyone to connect to until it is reset.
