Your borrowed student laptop belongs Glendale Community College. To keep these devices secure while ensuring you can do your schoolwork, Glendale Community College uses an application called Delinea JIT (Just-In-Time) Elevated Access. This tool grants you temporary administrative permissions for 4 hours to install approved software required for your classes.
All software requests must comply with the Maricopa County Community College District administrative regulations.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Log In
Open your GCC Offsite Student Laptop and log in using your student credentials (MEID and password).
Step 2: Launch Delinea JIT

Click the Windows Search bar and type JIT.

Alternative: Open the Start Menu, select Show All apps, scroll down to the S section, and click on Start Delinea JIT Elevated Access.
Step 3: Fill Out the Request Form
When the application window launches, you will see a prompt asking for a justification Reason (required). To prevent processing delays, type the following details into the text box:

Your MEID

The exact Software Title you need to install

The Purpose for installing it
-
Your Course & Section Number (e.g., ART 131 #10502)

You will have 4 hours to install your software once approved. If you would like to schedule the time for this to occur please include it in your request.
You will be notified via student email when this 4 hours begins.
Step 4: Submit for IT Review
Click the Continue button to route your request to the Office of Information Technology (OIT). IT staff will review your submission and notify you of their decision via email.
Step 5: Complete Your Installation

If Approved: Your account will receive temporary administrative permissions. You have exactly 4 hours to finish your installation.
Follow the instructions provided by your course instructor to download and install your software.

Need More Time? If the 4-hour window expires before you finish, simply reply directly to your OIT email ticket to coordinate an extension or schedule an installation appointment.
You will know you are approved two ways:
1. You will see a green approval bar in your Start Delinea JIT Elevated Access application.
2. You will be notified by the Maricopa Help Desk ticketing system via your student email when approved.
