Passwords

Step-by-Step Guide

Please see the following options below regarding the password reset process. There are several ways to gain access to your account.

This process is designed to be completed with self-service verification steps, but if you have trouble with this or are unable to receive a verification code please see options 2-3 for additional assistance.

  1. Self-Service Password Reset.  Resetting through self-service is the fastest way to gain access to your account. Please visit idme.maricopa.edu and click the green 'Reset Password Now' button to start the process. You will enter your email address in the MEID@maricopa.edu format and proceed following the prompts until you can select an email or phone verification method. If you do not have access to the phone number or email address on file for your account, please proceed to one of the following options.

  2. Chat-Assisted Verification. If you are unable to use the Self-Service option, you can use the chat feature on the idme.maricopa.edu website to verify your identity & have your email address or phone number on record updated. Please select the blue chat icon in the bottom right corner to enter the chat and enter 'password problems' to get queued for support with an IDME agent. Once your ID verification is complete the agent will update your recovery method and you will be able to self recover your account.

  3. In-Person Assistance. If you are unable to use the Self-Service option, you can alternatively visit HT1 on the GCC main campus to verify your identity in person & have your email address or phone number on record updated. Once updated you will be able to self-recover your account, complete the verification steps, and set an account password. Our lab staff are happy to help walk you through the log-in process during our business hours
