What Is It?
The Closed Circuit Television system (CCTV) at both GCC main and GCC North is available for many important uses. Video footage of our staff and students is quite sensitive. We do our best to make sure it is used responsibly. We have an acknowledgment form that must be read and signed before any access to the footage is granted.
Who Is Eligible to Use This Service?
Approved uses of CCTV footage include
College Police Department:
Monitoring of public spaces as a technological extension of the patrol officer.
Monitoring of key points of an access control system (i.e. card access doors).
Monitoring of roads, sidewalks, public common areas, and parking lots.
Monitoring of storage, checkout, and use of valuable college property.
College Business Services for fiscal stewardship:
To monitor financial transactions and safeguard against loss in an area that handles cash.
Academic Departments:
To monitor academic performance and/or coach students in an academic lab setting.
To ensure academic integrity.
Testing Services:
To ensure academic integrity.
