To keep Maricopa accounts secure and ensure you never lose access to your tools, you are required to enter your phone number or email address as a recovery method. This ensures that if your account is ever flagged for a security risk, you can verify your identity immediately without being locked out.
Step 1: Sign In and Access Security Settings

Go to https://aka.ms/mysecurityinfo.

If needed, sign in to your account with your email (MEID@maricopa.edu) and password, and Duo MultiFactor Authentication.

Step 2. Add a Recovery Phone Number and/or Email

Once logged in, click on "Security info" in the left-hand navigation menu.

Click on “+Add sign-in method”.


Step 2A. Add a Recovery Phone Number

Select “Phone” from the “Add a sign-in method” pop-up window.

Enter your phone number.

Select your preferred verification method (text or phone call) and click Next.

You will be asked to verify your phone number. Enter the verification code you received on your phone and click Next.


Step 2B. Add a Recovery Email



Step 3: Verify Your Changes
You will be returned to the Security info page. Check that both your new email and/or phone number are listed under your sign-in methods.
