Removing Public Desktop Icons

Follow these steps to remove all public desktop icons, or individual application icons for Adobe Creative Cloud, Cisco Jabber, Google Chrome, or Webex.

Note: The desktop icon for Microsoft Edge is installed in each individual profile. You can remove this icon without needing elevated permissions.

Steps

Software Center

  • Open Software Center using Start Menu search or from the Start Menu All Apps list.
  • Select MCCCD Desktop Icon Removal.

  • Select Install.

  • After a few seconds of downloading, the interface will open.
  • Select either Remove All Icons or choose individual icons to remove.

  • When finished, select Finish.
  • The selected icons will be removed.
