Accessing Microsoft Azure Dev Tools

Description

Microsoft Azure for Students is available only to students who have meet the Microsoft requirements. Students must create an account, and active Azure for Students subscription in order to access the Software Download Center, see link below. This guide will show on how to access Microsoft Azure developer  tools like Microsoft Project, SQL, Visual Studio, etc. 

Instructions

  1. For more information and Login Portal, click on the student Link to the Azure page below: 
    https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/offers/ms-azr-0170p/
     
  2. and then scroll down to the bottom of the page until they reach a section that says "Resource commitment" and tell them to click on "Log into the Azure portal":

  3. If the student isn't already logged in, then the student can log in with their MEID@maricopa.edu as normal and then it will take them to the Azure Portal

  4. Then click on the "Explore" button underneath "Access student benefits" after logging in

  5. This will take you to the "Overview" page for the education portal. The student can click on the "Software" tab on the left-hand side of the page.

  6. This will bring up the software page for Azure. The student can now look up the software they're looking for i.e. "Project" in the search bar and have them download whichever version they need.

  7. Click on "Project Professional 2019" will bring up a menu on the right-hand side of the screen which will give the student both the "Download" and "View Key" buttons. The student can download the program as well as copy the key and then paste it into the activation key when they open up the program.

  8. Once downloaded, you're done. Start using the program.
