Turn On Wi-Fi Calling

Description

In areas with low cell phone service, turning on Wi-Fi calling can allow you to receive phone calls and text messages while connected to the campus wireless rather than relying on a cellular signal from your phone carrier.

Instructions

Note: Not all devices or carriers support Wi-Fi calling, so verify with your carrier if it is available.

iOS:

  1. Go to Settings > Cellular (Phone) > Wi-Fi Calling.
  2. Toggle "Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone" to ON.
  3. Confirm any prompts that appear.

Android:

Note: Android phones can be different depending on the manufacturer.  Please refer to your manufacturer's documentation if these instructions do not align to your phone's interface.

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network.
  2. Select Advanced and then Wi-Fi Calling.
  3. Toggle the "Wi-Fi Calling" option to ON.
